Robot Yaskawa Motoman MPL300 II
The versatile MPL300 II is a 4-axis, high performance robot that has a payload of 300 kg, extensive reach of 3,024 mm vertical, 3,159 mm horizontal reach, and a ±0.5 mm repeatability. This reach allows the MPL300 II to build loads up to 102 inches tall with standard 48 in. x 40 in. pallets. It is the perfect robot to handle numerous palletizing jobs such as case palletizing, bag palletizing, de-palletizing, layer forming, and layer picking.
The wrist of the MPL300 II is hollow which allows flexibility to connect an EOAT enabling a wide range of motion without any interference. The robot base has cable installation to help allow the field bus routing to the upper arm/gripper. Also, the T-axis features high allowable moment of inertia, easing the ability to handle asymmetric loads without the compromise of speed or performance.
There are additional options available, such as PalletSolver, which helps create palletizing patterns and quick changeovers without stopping production. In addition, there is another option for the NSF-H1 certified food-grade lubricant available if needed for a food or consumer product packaging environment. Overall, the MPL300 II is highly customizable to each palletizing system making it the perfect solution for your next automation integration.
The MPL300 II will be paired with the DX200 or MLX200 controller.

Motoman MPL80 Motoman DX100
The Motoman DX100 is an open communication dynamic next-generation controller with the ability to control up to 8 robots (72 axes max). It has fast processing speeds that lead to high performances, smooth interpolation, and open communication. Floor space is able to be efficiently utilized with the use of the DX100 as the connections are on the back of the unit. The DX100 uses Advanced Robot Motion (ARM) control and is best-in class for path planning which helps to decrease teaching time.
Energy saving (up to 25%) and safety-compliant, the DX100 is programmed through a small and lightweight Windows CE color screen teach pendant. This input device includes features a unique cross-shaped navigation cursor which helps to reduce teaching time and improve productivity.
Additionally, the pendant has a convenient and compact flash slot to help facilitate backups and all it houses all of the operator controls. The DX100 reduces the need for separate PLC and HMI devices. This results in a significant cost savings when integrating a robotic workcell. Furthermore, there is a maintenance with reducer status check function to help enhance trouble shooting and alarm recovery.
Smaller DX-series controller options include the DXM100 or the upgraded and powerful DX200.
Motoman MPL80 Motoman MLX200
The robot drives are panel-mounted allowing the ability for integration in the main control cabinet, reducing the amount of hardware, floor space, or spare parts necessary. Furthermore, these set-up of the hardware and controls is simplified which helps to eliminate redundant interfaces. The reduced system complexity and single application developement ultimately brings a faster time-to-market to the manufacturer as there is one programmer and a very simplified control scheme.
The MLX 200 is packed with a variety of advanced robot kinematics, as well as motion planning algorithms, which allow programmers to more easily plan robot paths for applications, as well as blending of motion for entire robot kinematics. Plus, the simplified hardware architecture eliminates redundancy and reduces the setup time and complexity while also improving the reliability of the system. Check out the wide range of robots available on this platform, from 4- to 7-axes robots with payloads from 5-300 kilograms.
